A Story of Progress

Today we would like to highlight a client of ours, Monica. Monica has been working out with us for close to a year and a half and has made some incredible progress. When she came to us, she had goals related to both body composition and specific movements she wanted to learn and master. She had done CrossFit previously and had also worked out at a standard globo gym, but felt like she was missing out on the progress she wanted. Here’s how she got her progress back on track:

 

 

Over the past year and a half, she has been incredibly disciplined and consistent. She comes in 5 days per week for our CrossFit classes and puts in the best effort she can each day. During her time here, she has seen a positive improvement in her body composition and has been able to accomplish things like pull ups and handstand push-ups! When we asked her, what had held her back in the past, Monica said that she “lacked the interaction and coaching necessary to see progress,” while she was at a globo gym. This would lead to subpar workouts that would in turn, lead to lower productivity throughout her day.

At CrossFit 286, she has been able to continually work towards progress and attributes that to how flexible and responsive the staff and coaches are. “They are always able to answer questions and help modify things,” as she told us. This has been very important to her lately as Monica has recently found out that she is pregnant! Though some days are more of a struggle for her, she has maintained her consistency and is still moving in the right direction!
