What good shows have you been binge watching? Tiger King, Waco, The Office, Parks and Rec? While at home, it can be easy to stay sedentary. You are probably sitting down while working and then sitting on the couch watching TV. While that may be relaxing, if you want to come out of quarantine ahead, you need to move around more. Here is how you can do that:
Get outside! Use your lunch break or your first hour of Netflix to get outside and enjoy some fresh air. Walk around, go for a jog, do some stretching, etc. The important thing is to get blood circulating better after sitting down all day.
Spend 15-30 minutes working out. It doesn’t need to be anything crazy. At CrossFit 286, we offer online personal coaching so there is no guess work on your end. If you don’t have an online coach, consider doing some intervals of squats, push-ups, and sit ups. Play with the sets and reps, play with the order of the movements, add in some running or some burpees to elevate the heart rate! No equipment, no problem! All of the above can be done with bodyweight!
Moving around make sure you are maintaining a base level of immunity against sicknesses and diseases. When you become sedentary, your body has a hard time fighting these things off as your health markers are moving in a poor direction. Stay moving and you will come out of quarantine healthier than when you entered!
