If you have seen any picture or videos of CrossFit, you’ve probably seen a lot of really shredded looking people and thought to yourself “Why are they all so ripped?” Well, we have the secret to why they are so ripped. It might not be what you expect! The secret is:
They’re not! Not what you expected is it? That’s because the truth is, not every Crossfitter is ripped. Sure, there are plenty that are, but for every one ripped, Thor looking, Crossfitter, there are far more that look like “regular people.” Often times the ones you see in pictures and videos are the elite competitors, who live and breathe CrossFit and nothing else. We don’t want to throw shade at those athletes, however, what they do is not CrossFit. The overwhelming majority of Crossfitters are everyday people who are looking to manage and improve their health. This is much more in line with what we seek to do everyday at CrossFit 286. Improve the health of the people in our community.
Can you get ripped doing CrossFit? Absolutely, we have many clients at CrossFit 286 who have very low body fat percentages and high muscle mass percentages. It’s all a matter of what your goals are and how you want your fitness to serve you. Will you get ripped doing CrossFit? Probably not, unless that is you goal.
