Meet Alex! Alex came to us looking to switch up her routine. She had been lifting at a regular gym and had been doing yoga, but she needed a change. Work was getting stressful and some nagging aches and pains in her knees and back were lingering, and the stress of buying her and her husband’s first house was hanging around. Here is her story:
Alex came in, eager to get started on her plan so she could live the happiest, most fulfilled life possible. She stared with a series of personal training so we could assess her knees and back and teach her all of the movements we typically do in a CrossFit class. Once we determined that she was ready for classes, we let her jump right in.
Since then, Alex told us that lifting weights and feeling string “has been empowering,” for her as a woman. She also has noticed that her knees and back aren’t aching at all, and she isn’t nearly as stressed out! To add onto all that amazing stuff, Alex said her caffeine intake is down and that her and her husband have been cooking at home instead of going out to eat!
Alex’s story is an incredible one of overcoming life’s stresses and feeling the empowerment that we want for everyone at CrossFit 286. Enriching people’s lives is what we strive to do, her story is a testament of that!
